Welcome
A New Chapter at Brookwood Drive
Since 1976, this location has been a home for pet health under the dedicated care of Dr. Richard Cotton and Brookwood Veterinary Clinic. As Dr. Cotton prepares for his next chapter, we are honored to continue his legacy of service.
While Raleighwood Veterinary Hospital is a new practice, the spirit of community and the commitment to your pets remain the same. Dr. Amanda Jeffries, who has worked alongside Dr. Cotton over the last four years, is thrilled to officially welcome you to her new practice home.
Dr. Jeffries isn’t just a new face; she’s a seasoned clinician with a deep-rooted connection to North Carolina. After earning her DVM from NC State University in 2014, she served her country as a veterinarian for the United States military at Dover AFB, Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain, and U.S. Army Fort Jackson.

The Raleighwood Promise
We practice “sit on the floor” medicine.
At Raleighwood Veterinary Hospital, we believe that the best care happens at eye level with your pet. In an era of corporate-owned clinics and high-volume practices, we remain proudly locally owned and operated.
To us, you aren’t a chart number, and your pet isn’t just a patient—you are our neighbors. Our promise is to provide modern, high-level medicine with a small-town heart. Whether it’s a routine check-up or a complex surgical procedure, we take the time to listen, to comfort, and to care for both ends of the leash.
